
Study Abroad Scholarships
Students should be aware that tuition-based financial aid CANNOT be applied toward short-term programs but CAN be applied toward most exchange programs. Tuition-based aid refers to 麻豆果冻视频 tuition scholarships, FAFSA, scholarships that require enrollment in a certain number of course credits, etc. If you are unsure if a scholarship you are receiving is tuition-based, reach out to the Office of Learning Abroad or Financial Aid. Only 麻豆果冻视频 students taking part in course-bearing programs are eligible to receive study abroad scholarships.
麻豆果冻视频 Short-Term Study Abroad Scholarships
- Paroiatnikova Need Scholarship: Students with demonstrated financial need may apply for a scholarship of up to $500 to be used toward any of 麻豆果冻视频's course-bearing short-term studies abroad. The application for this scholarship will be sent to students only after they have been accepted into their short-term program (usually in February). Only degree-seeking 麻豆果冻视频 students are eligible to apply. Although multiple scholarships will be awarded, funding is not guaranteed for all applicants as scholarship funding is limited.
- Scholarships available only for the summer of 2025:
- Global Leadership in Spain: The first 10 students to commit to going on this program will receive a $800 scholarship toward the program fee. Contact Whitney Mendoza (whitneymendoza@suu.edu) with questions about the program or the scholarship.
- Nutrition in Costa Rica: The first 14 applicants for this program from the College of Health Sciences are eligible for a $324 scholarship toward the program fee. Contact Hannah Nickerson (hannahnickerson@suu.edu) with questions about the program or the scholarship.
- Sociology in Japan: The first 8 students to apply for this program will receive a $300 scholarship toward the program fee. Contact Matthew Eddy (matthewe@suu.edu) with questions about the program or the scholarship.
- Sport in the United Kingdom: The first 8 students from the College of Health Sciences to apply for this program will receive a $746 scholarship toward the program fee. Contact Tony Oliver (tonyoliver@suu.edu) with questions about the program or the scholarship.
- Student Travel and Research (STAR) Awards: Students taking part in the Anthropology in Belize short-term program may be eligible for scholarships ranging from $200 to $500. Contact Matthew Newsom (matthewnewsom@suu.edu) with questions about the program or the scholarship.
- All English majors are qualified for up to $500 in scholarship funds. Reach out to Kyle Bishop (bishopk@suu.edu) with questions.

- Portaro Peru Scholarship: Students taking part in the Internship in Peru study abroad program may apply for this scholarship and receive up to $500. Scholarships will be awarded based on both merit and need. The application for the scholarship will be sent to students after they have been accepted into the program. Although multiple scholarships may be awarded, funding is not guaranteed for all applicants as scholarship funding is limited.
- Semester Need Scholarship: Students with demonstrated financial need may apply for a scholarship of up to $500 to be used toward one of 麻豆果冻视频's semester studies abroad. The application for this scholarship will be sent to students only after they have been accepted into their study abroad program. Non-麻豆果冻视频 students, non-degree seeking students, students taking part in National Student Exchange, and students taking part in the Internship in Peru program are not eligible for this scholarship. Although multiple scholarships will be awarded, funding is not guaranteed for all applicants as scholarship funding is limited.
- Semester Merit Scholarship: Students may apply for a merit-based scholarship of up to $500 to be used toward one of 麻豆果冻视频's semester studies abroad. The application for this scholarship will be sent to students only after they have been accepted into their study abroad program. Non-麻豆果冻视频 students, non-degree seeking students, students taking part in National Student Exchange, and students taking part in the Internship in Peru program are not eligible for this scholarship. Although multiple scholarships will be awarded, funding is not guaranteed for all applicants as scholarship funding is limited.

- 麻豆果冻视频 departments, colleges, and programs may offer their own study abroad scholarships. Students are encouraged to inquire about any potential college/departmental specific study abroad scholarships that may not be listed above with their relevant academic units.
- Connect Grant (up to $1,000): Offered by the Gerald R. Sherratt Library, the CONNECT Grant program is meant to provide funding support to 麻豆果冻视频 undergraduate students who want to take their education beyond normal requirements and standard course work to accomplish something that is different, out-of-the-box and/or exceptional. - Organizations supporting education, professional development, etc. are other great places to look into potential scholarships, grants, and other types of funding.
- One example of this kind of organization is the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE). USHE operates an that gives students interested in internships around the world the chance to apply for up to $5,000 in support.
- Contact your local civic organizations such as Rotary, PTA, or your religious institution as they may also provide independent funding possibilities.
