The Alumni Legacy Scholarship provides in-state tuition to out-of-state students whose parents are alumni. We hope that your children will continue your Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ legacy and start their own, and this scholarship is one way to make that happen. In addition to this scholarship, Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ Legacy students have the opportunity to be involved with the Student Alumni Association and make great memories while building their resume and serving the Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ and Cedar City communities.

For those living in Utah, a collegiate license plate is a terrific way to show pride for your alma mater while supporting scholarships. And if you live out of state, consider purchasing an Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ license plate cover from the Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ Bookstore.

Would you like to experience other countries and cultures with an expert guide? Join Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ faculty and staff members for curated travel experiences that are fun, affordable, and educational. Check out the adventures that are being offered and join us for a one of a kind experience. Community on the Go trips are designed for adult travelers to offer cultural and immersive educational experiences led by Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ experts. Groups of approximately 20-30 travelers at a time explore various parts of the world in a fun, affordable, and educational setting.

Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ Arts is composed of Southern Utah University’s College of Performing and Visual Arts departments. The Department of Art and Design, Department of Music, and the Department of Theater, Dance, and Arts Administration present over 100 performances, lectures, presentations, and exhibitions each year.

The Gerald R. Sherratt Library is a state-of-the-art facility that was opened in March 1996. To many alumni, it is the “new” library. Linked to other libraries throughout the United States and world, the library provides materials and services to support the university curriculum in bringing students, faculty, librarians and technology together. The online catalog and computer bibliographic indexes provide access to the library's collection and to additional resources world wide.

Using your alumni card you can check out books, media and serials -- up to five items at one time -- and one renewal. Check out periods for books are two weeks; media one week; and serials two days. Excludes Interlibrary Loan.

Enjoy all that southern Utah has to offer by participating in one of the many adventures hosted by Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ Outdoors, or plan your own adventure and rent equipment from them. From camping gear and lawn games to snow sports and bike equipment, they have it all. Or if you have questions about your adventure, they can help.

Enjoy Tony award-winning theater at the Utah Shakespeare Festival as it presents life-affirming classical and contemporary plays and musicals, in rotating repertory, and interactive experiences.

Learning Lives Forever is more than just our University’s motto, it is also a virtual experience of alumni sharing career experiences as well as current and retired professors sharing their classroom philosophies and knowledge. You can participate with us via Zoom or our various social media channels and enjoy your Thunderbird connections without even having to leave your couch!

We host a variety of events throughout the year to help you stay connected with your alma mater. We hope you will mark your calendar for annual events like Homecoming, Founders Week, Commencement, Alumni Days at Shakespeare, Â鶹¹û¶³ÊÓƵ Day at Lagoon, and Thor’s Thunder Classic Golf Tournament. In addition to these annual staples, we host networking events and tailgates so that Thunderbirds across the country can participate and reconnect with fellow alumni.
